Biographical / Historical

In 1892 home visits to the Chinese by Christian women began after the formation of the Presbyterian Women's Missionary Union (PWMU) in 1890. This led to the appointment of Miss Pye who established a school in Heffernan Lane, off Little Bourke Street and continued missionary efforts visiting the Chinese women.
