Constitution of Presbyterian Deaconess Council.
1.
There shall be a Standing Committee of the Assembly, called the Presbyterian Deaconess Council, which shall consist of a Convener, seven members of the Assembly, the Director of Studies, the Convener of the Home Mission Committee, and the Director of Home Missions, together with five women nominated by the P. W. M. U., the Convener of the
P. W. M. U. Deaconess Salaries’ Fund Committee, the President and Secretary of the Deaconess’ Association, the Superintendent of the Training Institute, one representative of the H. M. W. A., and one representative of the P. G. F. The Council shall nominate to the Assembly the Convener, the Director of Studies and the Superintendent of Rolland House.

The Council, shall meet monthly and shall appoint from its own members sub-Committees as necessary to administer the details of its work.
3.
The Council shall be responsible for the acceptance of those desiring to become Deaconesses, their training, their appointment, transfer and removal, and the administration of the Deaconess’ Superannuation Fund. It shall have power to make regulations governing these matters.
